CANCER SUPPORT

Welcome!

If you are looking at this page, chances are that you or someone you know has been diagnosed with cancer and are looking for an integrative approach.

We know that this can be a very difficult time to navigate all of the different options for care, and want to say thank you for advocating for yourself and learning more about a terrain centered and metabolic approach to cancer!

We are here to support you on your journey, wherever you are within your journey. We also want to help you to understand what led your body to express cancer, as well as support you through what can feel like an overwhelming experience.

Dr. Blake is an integrative and holistic Naturopathic Doctor, who focuses on Metabolic Terrain Cancer Support and Integrative Oncology

"Understanding cancer as a metabolic disorder and addressing each patient's unique ‘terrain’ — everything from the environment to the body to the soul of the patient — enables more efficient and effective cancer management."

WELLBEING SUPPORT DURING OR AFTER CANCER CARE

Whole-person support alongside your medical team

A cancer diagnosis can affect every part of life. It can bring physical, emotional, practical, and spiritual challenges, and many people find themselves wanting additional support as they move through treatment, recovery, or life after diagnosis.

Dr April Blake offers whole-person wellbeing support for people who are currently under the care of an oncology team, have completed treatment, or are looking for lifestyle guidance alongside their conventional medical care.

April is a U.S.-trained Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Midwife with training in integrative and metabolic approaches to wellbeing. Her work does not replace oncology care, cancer treatment, or medical advice from your consultant, GP, or specialist team.

Instead, her role is to help you feel supported as a whole person.

This may include exploring areas such as:

  • Nutrition and nourishment

  • Energy and rest

  • Sleep support

  • Stress and nervous system regulation

  • Digestive wellbeing

  • Emotional resilience

  • Lifestyle routines

  • Environmental and whole-person wellbeing factors

  • Communication with your wider care team

April’s approach is gentle, thoughtful, and personalised. She takes time to listen to your story, understand your current needs, and help you consider practical ways to support your wellbeing during a difficult and often overwhelming time.

Where appropriate, she may also discuss functional testing, nutritional considerations, or lifestyle strategies that can help you better understand your body. Any recommendations are intended to sit alongside, not replace, your conventional cancer care.

If you are currently receiving cancer treatment, we encourage you to speak with your oncology team before beginning any new supplements, dietary changes, or complementary support.
