In a way, I’ve been working on these books my whole life. After nearly twenty years in practice as a Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Midwife, I wanted there to be one place where everything comes together for women going through this time, without making it scary and awkward.
There are two books, and they’re designed to be used together. One to read, and one to write in.
Menopause Revealed
The Hormone Ecology Method: A New Paradigm for Thriving During Midlife and Beyond
This is the one to curl up with. It’s more of a story and a guide than a textbook, and I want it to be read at your leisure. Pick it up and jump in in the middle if you feel like it!
It starts with my own story, and how my early life shaped the way I think about medicine and women’s health. From there, it walks you through why every woman’s experience of this time is so different, and why perimenopause doesn’t create new problems so much as reveal old ones. And it introduces The Hormone Ecology Method™, the way I look at the three key areas, your hormones, your toxins and your gut function, because everything in a woman’s body is related to everything else.
Along the way you’ll find some of the research I find most fascinating: why humans are one of very few species to live long past our fertile years, how the bacteria in your gut help make your serotonin, and what decades of stress research tell us about how our bodies cope.
Drawing on research published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Cell, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism

The Hormone Ecology Method
The companion workbook to Menopause Revealed
I didn’t want to give you something you’d read once and put on a shelf. The workbook is for using alongside Menopause Revealed, as you go. It’s the place to keep your notes, track your thoughts and symptoms, and capture whatever the book brings up for you.
Write in it, dog-ear it, spill coffee on it, and come back to it at 2am when you’re wide awake wondering what’s going on. Over time it becomes a record of your own journey, which is lovely to look back on, and really useful to bring along to an appointment with your practitioner.
