Dr. April Blake ND, LM
Dr April Blake is a U.S.-trained Naturopathic Doctor, Licensed Midwife, and medical intuitive with nearly two decades of clinical experience. Her work is rooted in naturopathic, functional, and integrative approaches to wellbeing, with an emphasis on education, prevention, lifestyle support, and helping clients better understand the wider patterns that may be influencing how they feel.
April takes a thoughtful, whole-person approach, exploring areas such as nutrition, digestion, hormones, sleep, stress, mood, energy, immune resilience, and emotional wellbeing. Her work is collaborative and investigative, offering clients time, clarity, and personalised support as they consider the next steps in their wellness journey.
Her approach may draw from botanical medicine, nutritional guidance, physical medicine, targeted nutrient support, homeopathy, lifestyle practices, and functional testing recommendations where appropriate. She has particular experience supporting people who feel overwhelmed by complex or persistent wellness concerns, as well as women navigating perimenopause, menopause, fertility preparation, prenatal wellbeing, and postpartum support.
April received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Midwifery training from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, one of the leading accredited institutions for naturopathic medical education in the United States. She also has additional training in amino acid therapy and functional medicine testing, which she uses to support a deeper understanding of mood, energy, sleep, and nervous system patterns.
Please note that Dr Blake is licensed in the United States and is not GMC-registered in the UK. Her work at Solstice Wellness Centre does not replace medical diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, or care from your GP, consultant, midwife, or specialist healthcare provider.
April believes that when people are listened to carefully and supported as a whole person, they can begin to understand their bodies more clearly and take meaningful steps toward greater wellbeing.

Lorna Hendry
Lorna Hendry is a Bi-Aura® Therapy Practitioner who supports clients in restoring balance within their energy system, with a particular focus on the heart centre and emotional wellbeing. Her work centres on helping people reconnect with themselves by gently releasing stored emotions and energetic blockages in their chakras that can affect both inner harmony, physical wellbeing, and relationships.

Front of House & Shop Manager
Graham Blake
Graham is often the first person clients meet when they arrive at Solstice Wellness Centre, and his priority is simple: to make everyone feel welcome, at ease, and cared for, no matter what brings them through the door. He holds the front of house with warmth and attentiveness, helping create a calm, sincere environment from the very first interaction.
Behind the scenes, Graham supports the daily operations and flow of the clinic, ensuring that systems, spaces, and details work smoothly and thoughtfully together. With a background in Human Communication and years spent working closely with artists and creatives, he brings a strong sense of presence, problem solving, and care to everything from client experience to the physical feel of the space.
Graham is deeply invested in making Solstice a place that feels genuinely supportive, not polished or performative. He takes pride in creating a clinic that is comfortable, grounded, and human, where healing can happen on every level. While Dr. April Blake’s clinical work is the heart of Solstice, Graham helps ensure that the space surrounding that work feels safe, welcoming, and intentional for all who enter.

Client Ambassador
Ginger
Ginger is the very best girl. Her "best-girl-ness" began 15,000 years ago on the steppes of a proto-european plain during the domestication of her ancestors by humans. More recently (only a few centuries ago) her ancestors were being bred for their intelligence, gentleness with humans, and soft fur coats (plus hunting, etc., but Ginger is the Very Best Girl and would never hurt another critter). Fast-forward to May, 2020, and Ginger was born: her mother pure bred poodle, and her father half poodle and half Bernese Mountain dog. That means she's about a 75/25% mix of intelligence and sass. After about a year of frolicking in the California sun, she moved with her adoptive family to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Her hobbies include spending time with her family, announcing people's arrival at Solstice Wellness Centre LTD, and breaking down people's barriers around "personal space." She spends her weekdays at Solstice Wellness, where she exchanges kisses for pets.
